I received a text message from this number about employment. I live in Canada and since this is as SC number I knew something was up. It MUST be a scam since I applied for the job almost a full month ago and then I get a text offering a position that I had previously been told by email was taken.
I have told this texter to STOP this right NOW..they will not know or ever be able to scam me. The response was OK

Definitely a scammer. I have been having fun with this one. They hired me to do a translation project - sent me a check for way too much and then asked me to Western Union the difference back to them. I have been in dialogue with them, playing along with them for 3 weeks now, telling them of delays, sent check to wrong address, etc. Now I finally sent them the "translation" but it details how I was only buying time for the FBI to track their phone and IP addresses so they should enjoy their next few years in jail. They still haven't read it yet apparently as they keep texting and emailing me for me to do the wire transfer. Hopefully they will be sweating it out for the next few weeks...

Same thing happened to me, he goes by the name Tom Markwell, he claims he is an artist that travels around the world to collect art pieces from different cultures. He says he is in Australia and will be back on a certain day. He will offer stupid amounts of money for you to run his 'errands' while out of the country. THIS IS A SCAM. [***]
I got the same mail and i accepted to the work. I am not sure what to do. He said his name is Larry Brown has he want me to run errans in Canada and he will be sending me a check of sum amount and wants me to transfer the sum to different people. I am not sure what happens next. Can some tell me what to do?
