Called me in Maryland, got one call from them and then another call 1 minute later from "unknown", did not leave a message.

Yep, it's an automated telemarketer selling security systems. I answered and it was a recording.

Bizarre. Did not answer a call from this number on my work phone. 1 hr later my son also received a call from same number on his cell phone. Must be random dialing numbers in Maryland.

Its some marketing call - Selling security system for homes, they keep bugging even after asking to be removed from their list several times.
