1. Go to local police station. Take copies of the emails with the demands, include phone numbers or numbers the texts are coming from.
2. Tell the person you speak to (usually behind a big desk or counter) that you are being blackmailed in a badger scam / underage girl scam and you want to make a report. This does take some guts, but there is a chance your report will do some good. These scammers are getting greedy, and someday they will be caught.
If the links above from BigA are broken, do an internet search on "underage girl sexting scam" or the titles of the articles in BigA's post: "Plenty of Fish has plenty of sharks". When you get the search results, you just have to follow your nose, which is sort of how you got into this mess in the first place. i have faith in you in spite of you acting like a troll. James, don't worry, the cops won't judge. It is not illegal to send **** pix to a 300ib ex-con who is pretending to be a 15 year old girl. Happens all the time.
So I haven't received a text saying I owe any money the scammer is telling me about how the phone files cannot be a racist even if they are deleted I've only spoken to him on the phone once but don't really want to speak to me any longer would it be OK to just block him and see if it escalates before going to the police I had read both articles recommended on the daily scam
You file a complaint of attempted extortion. That is a felony. You are a crime victim. Go to police and file a complaint. Go in person. Print out a copy of this thread, and give it to police. Don't talk to the extortionist.
