Recorded message saying they were from Account Services for my credit card account. Nothing wrong with my account, they just want to talk to me about my eligibility to lower interest rates. In other words, they want to give me another credit card. My number is on the Do Not Call Registry, so I don't know why they are calling me.
Saw where I heard from them yesterday. Am so tired of calls like these. On my early iPhone generation 4s, I went the route of Settings>Phone>Respond with Text. Three message spaces available. Entered one as "No ID, no answer. 2nd call gets reported to do-not-call registry." When the phone rings, there's an option to -- no one's calling at the moment, so I don't know exact setup -- refuse the call or to respond with a text message. I don't have a direct "Refuse" or "Ignore" feature, of I'd just use it, sending them right to messages. My options allow me to I respond with my "No ID" text message noted above. After they hang up, I transfer their number by clicking onto "Add to Contacts" where I assign them the next available number for my spam callers. The call I missed yesterday (this 864-513-5042, listed as from Blacksburg, SC -- very near where I live) will be Spam #16 on my Contacts List. As soon as it's labeled as that on its own page, I scroll down and block them. The callers do appear to be slowing down. I don't know if they pass around a "Don't-Waste-Your-Time List" or not, but life's getting somewhat quieter around here from these calls. Here's hoping it continues.
Received a call from this number several times. Trying to sell some form of credit repair.Unneeded on my part. The have dinged me for minutes. Call backs are to a dead line. Is this a bait and switch scam??
