Under aged extortion scam. Met a girl on an app, was told she was 21. Later was contacted by a man after explicit pics had been sent to my phone. The man claimed to be her father. Said he didn't want to go to the cops. Wanted to settle it like men. Under aged daughter with the 864-559-7532 number. Her "father" calls from 864-558-9983. Wanted half of $4700 to pay for doctors and counseling due to slit wrists. The app I was using is Skout, the name used for the girl was Lacy, the male was Jonathan, and he wanted a western union money transfer to Kaitlyn Mckenny in South Carolina. I was confronted 10 May 2016.
Same exact extortion scam.. Guy uses like 5 different SC numbers claiming to be "father" of girl "Lacy" who had a profile on app Skout claiming to be 20 years old from GA and messaged me saying "what's your number we can have some fun" and like an idiot gave alleged girl my phone number despite my hesitation and the next day got a text from an 803 number saying "it's Lacy" with a seductive picture attached to the message of a girl in a towel and then we started exchanging nude pictures and in the middle of our "sexting" the alleged 20yo girl sends a message saying I'm 15 I can't say anything, which I didn't even see at first bc it was timely sent while we were already exchanging images, and was under the impression "she" was 20 from the sites skout profile so after we had exchanged pictures I was looking back and saw the text saying "I'm 15" and my heart dropped and texted her back saying "you're not 20 like your profile says on Skout?!" And never got a response which was very odd, so I immediately blocked the number and was so freaked out and sick to my stomach that I deactivated my Skout account... Promptly the next day my phone started blowing up with this Greenville, SC number +1(864)558-9983 with a mans voice and a very heavy country accent claiming to be the girls "father" but would not give a name and had this whole elaborate story about his daughter cutting herself over this ordeal and that he had all my personal information(had my full name and some family members names) and that his "wife" wanted to press charges but he was willing to "work things out with me" if I was willing to transfer $4700 dollars via western union to an Agent location in Greenville, SC to an "India Linder" and this would all go away.. This obviously set off all kinds of red flags but was needless to say a little freaked out bc even knowing this was probably a scam they had all my personal information and was threatening to "expose" me.. So I played along long enough to look up some of the numbers the alleged "father" had been using and found literally hundreds of reports over the last year, increasingly the last couple months, with all almost identical stories with the exact same scam and all threads online involving these numbers described the mans voice on the phone("father") to a T.. All said he had a heavy country accent and said "sir" and"son" a lot.. All the described stories had same experience with a girl claiming to be between 18-21 on either okcupid, plenty of fish or Skout and exchanged photos then promptly the next day received phone calls describing the same "father" demanding money sent either pay pal, western union or money gram to an untraceable location to cover medical expenses for the "underage daughter".. This is a sick sadistic scam that takes advantage of unsuspecting men using fear and threats to extort money from them.. Hundreds of people have come forward on these threads and even reported this to their local authorities as well as Greenville, SC authorities in an attempt to bring these extortionists to justice and assume there are probably people who have been falling for this scam and not reporting it thus funding these sick criminals to continue their scam and just changing their numbers and slight variations of their story but always involving girl from dating site claiming to be of age then later after exchanging numbers and images claiming she is actually underage and after communications are cut off(hopefully) with the alleged "underage girl" the next day the receiving a call from alleged "father" demanding money to cover expenses for his "daughter" or else will press charges, expose you to your family, your job ect... There was even a Texas professor that recently committed suicide over these guys after they threatened to expose him to his family and the university where he worked.. The best thing to do is what I did and report all these allegations to your local authorities as well as SC authorities who should already be aware of this elaborate on going scam, print off these threads to give to them as well as all the numbers he/they tried contacting you with and all the info from the catfish profiles on the online dating sites.. If the extortionists try contacting you again, tell them you are aware of the scam and have already contacted your local police and SC police with all the info stated above.. They will stay in character and play their role to a T as they are professional extortionist and criminals.. If needed block there numbers and/or give them the case number of the police report and they should stop contact.. If these people are not stopped soon they will continue to attempt to extort money and smear otherwise innocent men's character.. This is a very dangerous and sickely sadistic scam and there are several felony crimes being committed, this needs to be stopped ASAP.. These are only some of the dozens of numbers these sickos have been using.. Mostly SC, 864 or 803 area codes: 8645589983, 8034134219, 8033541183, 8035565786, 8032254693, 8037272325, 8035565037, 8035566523, 8035653555, 8032254267, 8034795568 these along with many others.. I hope this helps at least someone if not helps bring these guys to justice..
