I got a call Sunday night @ 10:36pm from 864-607-9823. Same thing as others have stated. A recorded call telling me my credit card was deactivated and press 1 to be connected to a operator to activate my card.
10:36 on a sunday night??? My credit card is from a local small credit union, so i know for a fact, they don't work those late hours...
Stole credit card information. Posed as Chase Bank to obtain credit card information. Claimed the credit card was deactivated and needed the information to reactivate it. Chase confirmed the phone number and phone call was a scam.
My son got a call saying from this # little while ago...message said it was a Security issue re: his debit card and asked for his full card #. Luckily he realized it was a scam and hung up.
received call from this number at 1:03 AM. It went to voice mail. The beginning of the message was truncated. It was a female voice saying "...regarding a security issue" as if she had started speaking before the voice mail prompt had finished, so it was most likely and automated call.
