i'm getting 2-3 txts a day. says "attention required .. california c u". years ago i had an account at the california credit union. i still have the same cell number too. about 5 years ago i got a letter saying that 500K or so accounts were compromised. they paid for a years worth of credit protection. i'm taking a logical guess here and saying these are using that information and drumming up some sort of scam.
Received two texts in a row saying call this number. No information, just "Attention Required." Then it says California C U. Definitely a scam of some sort.
Got message "Attention Required." Then it says California C U. called and it , and it answers California Credit Union has discovered your debt card has been compromised, and to avoid loosing your ability to use your card, to enter your 16 digit card number then asks security questions, they are trying to scam your number and pin, a definitely identity theft attempt, they get your security answers to gain access to your account don't call them back.
I got a text from this number stating "Attention required, Call immediately " and then it said California C U. I don't owe any organization any money including the California Credit Union. I believe this to be a scam.
Yes, the same. I've never had an account with the CA Credit Union. I will delete this incoming text. What a relief to read here I'm not alone, and that this text is mostly a scam.
