Got a message from this number and the conversation went as follows:

#: Look for me on Yahoo messenger so we can talk !! ID on there is elstonlkn681
Me: who are you?
#: OMG ma reception is bad :(

I'm pretty freaked out about it and think its a scam to get personal info....

Pretty much the same as mine:

Me  Hey
# Find me on yahoo chat that way we can catch up :P I.D. on there is altonkmr999
Me You have the wrong number
# Grrr Mi service is low :(

I got two messages that said the exact same thing
I you have phone numbers listed on a social networking
Site, they are probably getting your number by that!!
