This morning I was awakened by a texted message "SUN,APR 2912 6:19AM, You just won a free $1000 Walmart Gift Card, enter "FREE" at http//www.Walmart.com.myfreecard.biz/d" - Yesterday afternoon (April 28, 2012) I had received a texted message, basically, saying same - that I had WON some FREE WALMART CARD from a contest I had entered, but I told my daughter that I had not really entered any contest at all. I remembered that a few days prior, I had only filled out a Walmart Contest INTERNET form, but I had deleted ALL my personal information and returned to my previous facebook or whatever I was previously on because I feared they only wanted my personal information for advertising purposes. I frequently shop at Walmart, and through the years, I have spent thousands of dollars at Walmart, so I was surprised and angry that they would awaken me at 6:19 AM to send me on a "wild goose chase" in exchange for my loyalty, despite their downward spiriling reputation. EVIDENTLY, I did not win anything, how could I? I never sent them my personal information, so how did they get my phone # to text me regarding a card I won that I had never applied for? However, I did access the recommended website, and all I got was Walmart Advertising!! There was no "LINK" referencing the place to go to get my "FREE $1000 Gift Card" they claim I WON!
I forgot to mention that they also had a phone # 872-202-5108, I called this number and it is an Illinois phone # - Chicago, of course!
NO answer, VOICEMAIL said, “I’m sorry, but the person you called has a mailbox that has not been set-up yet. Goodbye!”
