These calls are coming from a call center in India. They email whitepapers from various companies trying to sell you something. They are getting around the SPAM laws by getting you on the phone and talking so fast in their second language (English) that you tell them to send you the email just to get rid of them. I get at least 10 calls per week from them, I just let my spam filter delete their emails.
This one was for McAfee.
They keep calling, so I simply put the phone in the drawer and let them sit. One time they called back right after so I put the phone in the drawer again and they got the idea, for now.
I don't know if it's the same number that has been calling over and over for the past few weeks/month but the accent sounds the same, male and female. They must have gotten my name off a website registration.
I get several calls a week from these people If you try to say you dont want any white paper or for them not ot call they put the phone down befor eyou can finish. The final straw was getting on at 8 minutes past midnight this week!
Just got this number twice this morning within 30 min on my work phone which usually means spam. I'm finding that I get a different number every week calling multiple times, all source is India, if anyone has any idea which lists these are based on that would be helpful. Unfortunately I've done a lot of tech tradeshows so I think my number is out there for abuse as long as I'm in my current job.
