I called back the number and got a message. They say they are "Vehicle Service Direct". At the end of the message it says press 4 to be put on the internal do not call list.
This phone number 901-201-4585 comes up St. Jude and calls two or three times a day and hangs up when answered so I went on the web and found out it is a wireless phone number from CELLCO PARTNERSHIP DBA VERIZON WIRELESS. Can't imagine someone wasting minutes pulling pranks. I Am going to report this number to the goverment (www.donotcall.gov) number 1-888-3821222, there is a place on the website to fill a complaint against this number, should file a complaint everytime or everyday they call.
This number does call a lot. Shows up as "Tennessee" on caller ID. My phone verbally "announces" the caller ID so I only pick up calls I want to. Caller ID is a truly wonderful feature.
You should not stop donating to them just because of the phone calls. I think that's kind of harsh :/ There's a lot of children that need you and have nothing to do with the phone calls. I honestly think it's somebody pretending to be associated with St. Jude's or just name dropping St. Jude's, because St. Jude's is a well established and great organization that doesn't need to call ppl numerous times a day and hang up or leave no message.
