Number showed up on my cell phone while I was on the other line. It seemed like it only stayed on long enough to have rung once or twice. No voicemail.
I have TruCaller app on my cell phone - great app. It automatically blocks reported spam numbers and this app says it's "Redemption Center" in Memphis TN. In the app settings you have to options - one to let it ring and ring and the other (which I chose) is to automatically hang up on these harassing creeps after one ring.
Like so many others here, my phone got half a ring and hung up. then showed a missed call. It may be that they want you to call back. That way they know for sure they have a good number or maybe they can say they now have a customer relationship with you and will continue to call from this an many other spoofed numbers. I advise not answer, don't call back (unless you want to screw with them), and block the number if you can. Complain to your congress person. Maybe they can enact laws to help us out or force phone companies to control this problem..
