We have gotten this call several times. Exact time the phone rings once or twice, then when we answer the line goes dead.
Probably a scam or some thief checking to see if we are home. Their ruse is no good. Our land line calls switched to our cell phones so we still get the scam interruption. They must be scumbuckets to make a practice of this..
The person led me to believe I had won a $100 cash rebate that I thought was through a Rite Aid store survey I had recently taken. I gave them my address but then the man said that there was a $4.95 shipping and handling to send me the rebate. So I hung up, of course. I feel really angry, because for a few minutes I really thought I had won something!
