how can i get a call from a number no longer in service?
Got a call from this number, the woman asked for Karen. I said "You have the wrong number". The woman again asked for Karen. I said "My name is not Karen". She said "You are too Karen, b****, what the h*** are you doing".I told her that I am not Karen, and I don't even know a Karen. She said "You are too, b****, your name is Karen Zimmerman" (That is not my first or last name!) I wanted to figure out who this was, so I said, "Okay, what if I was Karen? (even though I am not) Who is this?" She said "Yea, you are, what the h*** are you doing?" I didn't say anything else and hung up. The funny thing is that other numbers (702-733-0259, 702-733-2961 are a couple) have been calling asking for Karen, every time I tell them they have the wrong number, they just say "well, you might not be Karen, but we still have important information for you"...then try to sell me health products. The call today was totally uncalled for, how do I make them stop? I am not Karen, and I don't want these harassing calls!

As you said, the number is not in service, because most of the scammers use spoofed (false) numbers which are, or have never been, in service. Look up "caller id spoofing" for an explanation.
