Do Not Call list does work- for legitimate businesses. To enforce, you must be able to identify caller. Most of the calls are robodialers that scammers use, rotating among spoofed numbers, so no one can catch them. Many also originate from other countries, though you can't tell (wonders of current technology). Some are from groups exempt from the do not call regs - such as charities, polls, and politicians. Educate yourself before you start ranting. Technology is ahead of our ability - or willingness- to control it.
Has called several times. We don't answer "unknown name" calls, and the caller never leaves a message.
We have put our number several times on the "Do Not Call" list, but it is, like most federal programs, a hoax and a joke.
I even called our congressional alleged representative to ask that "Do Not Call" law be enforced, but of course it is ridiculous to expect action from the feds.
What is even more ridiculous is that there are some people who expect the incompetents who won't enforce their "Do Not Call" law to provide medical care.

I get these darn calls numerous times daily. It is such a nuisance. Do they REALLY think anyone is going to respond favorable to them???????? If I want a service I'll pick and choose for myself - I don't need anyone from out of town or State to contact me. Wish these idiots would learn. Some even use a Magic Jack number! No legitimate business would do that, surely!
