we got call from same number. think it's a scam. IRS website says they will never call you without first mailing you information and sending you a bill. indian guy answered the number when we called back.

Got 4 calls to my unpublished, registered with DNC from (901) 265-3569 today alone. I picked it up the second and third time and got the same thing. a recording that was already in progress saying the irs was trying to get to me and they are now doing something because i haven't responded. sorry, not sure what the something was. ordering a warrant for my arrest or something like that. what's more annoying is it's just a recording. does nothing, asks for nothing and if you try to call the number it is of course a fast busy. what a waste of everything.
I received 2 calls from a recording that was a half-baked "...this is the IRS, and we have a lawsuit against you" thing. Then, an man from India who speaks poor English gets on the phone and wants information. I reported this to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration.
