These people have been calling my home phone for the past two weeks. Sometimes twice a day. If I should answer, they either hang up or they begin a spiel about buying extended warranty for my car. On two occasions I told them to remove my name from their list and to not call me again. They continue to ignore my wishes and they keep calling me.

No purpose telling them that, that doesn't exist in their language, and can often bring absurdity in return. Slap them back by ignoring their calls entirely or blocking the number if you can do it. Enough times of getting a ringing phone when they call, the quicker they'll be to stop calling.
