This number called me about a survey I had recently completed (???) and wanted to ask about my job search. Sounded almost like a recording that is made to sound like you're speaking to an actual person. There were long pauses after my replies. He mentioned his questions would help determine the skills I had necessary for my job search, when I said, "No, thanks. I already have a job.". There was an even longer silence than the pauses before, so I hung up. Strange.
Got a call from this number just now as well. Said I'd recently completed a survey...which I hadn't and would NEVER have put my cell number on, especially if it were a seemingly random one. The caller also asked open-ended, yet leading questions like, "Weren't you looking for a new position?" Who isn't looking for a new job in this economy?
Bogus in my opinion. Hope this helps, Adriana. Also, never answer "Yes." to any question snoops like this ask. They could be setting you up to say you agreed to have some crap sent to your house cash-on-delivery or something equally disastrous. (Cash-on-delivery is pretty much out of the question nowadays, I think.)
I answered, "Maybe...probably...I guess so..." to most of the questions the Joseph person asked before I hung up. Be on guard! It may have been a local number dialed from five states away. Thanks for the ambiguity, Internet calling services!
Caller said this was in regards to an online survey I took. When I asked what company he was with, he said "I'm sorry I couldn't help you today" and hung up.
