I began receiving this annoying call about one week ago on my office line at my house. It shows up as 800 COLLECT. I've called the number back, and an answering machine says "you've reached the desk of Shawn, I'm not in at the moment."
I received a call from this # while I was not at home and it showed up on my bill for $95! Called the # that showed up on my bill, which was an AL # of someone we didn't know, and she said that she lived alone and had been gone for the last 6 months. She also said that every time she comes home she gets calls about the same thing! I believe that some type of scam is going on here!
ON 8 June 2009, I started receiving calls from this number. I live in Montgomery, AL. Anyone who knows me understands that I do not accept collect calls. I received a call from this number as late as 10:30 pm. I have reported this to my phone company, Charter Communications, and I intend to scrutinize my bill even more now.
I received a call from this number. I did not answer and let the answering machine answer. The message was too short to make sense of but it did mention MCI.
