Yeah, there is nothing to worry about unless you click, download or make a call into a malicious call-center. Your information is going to get out. It's a good social-engineer who will trick you. People should stop trying to understand technology, if that is not your thing. Read all about social engineer and counter techniques. I'll still get you but simple tactics like this you should be able to avoid and sleep well at night. If I had the time and energy I would reverse engineer this and cause mayhem. However, it's not worth my time and the prize isn't worth $010011100.
I got 3 texts this morning, 2 from this number and one from 8070. The texts state "Message+:*Never give your PIN to anyone*. The PIN you just requested for your device is 5#s". The pin was different each time. I was sleeping, did not request anything. I asked my husband and he didn't either. This must be a phishing scam.
I received 3 calls in the same manner as above. This is just another loser trying to steal from us. They should lock these losers up and make them actually work hard in prison!
I got the same thing this morning. I figured if some moron was trying to hack one of my accounts, they would need that pin number. It was annoying because I was asleep too.
