Phone rings 2-3 times, hang up. Any ideas on what is going on here?

No name in your caller ID?  Ignore and block.  You don't need to know who is calling to block them.  And the numbers can be spoofed anyway.

Calls are immediately blocked and I'm sure the numbers are spoofed. My question is the big picture. What is the spoofer accomplishing by this barrage of calls? What is the game here?
