Got call, "ST JUDE". I answered, they hung up. I suspect a scam, spoofing the real St Jude Children's Research Hospital, as they have never called me before. Perhaps I'm paranoid in my old age, but I suspect anyone calling me and asking for credit card or other personal information. If this somehow is real, they are exempt from the DNC list as a charitable organization. Note to Tim, 19 Nov, only reputable companies comply with the Do Not Call law. So ... any telemarketer who does call you is (be definition) a scam artist. p.s.: I tried answering "Burger King" a few times. Didn't help.
I have gotten calls at least once a day for over a month. The letters NUFIC are written above the number. I don't answer strange numbers; when I try to google NUFIC, it seems that it is a national fire insurance. I really would like to know what to do to get this stopped. They never leave a message.
They call and do not leave a message, I am on the Do Not Call Registry. Is this a bunch of crap or what? Doesn't prevent anyone from calling my home phone or cell phone.
