These folks claim they are representing the Memphis Firefighters Association and are actively seeking donations. While they may be very 'loosely' aligned with the Memphis Fire Department somehow, this is one of those solicitations where close to 80% of the money they take in goes toward 'administrative' costs, in other words, it's goes into their pockets. Never, ever give any money to these folks. I made the mistake once, about 25 years ago, and they continually call me to this day, even though I haven't given since them, and I plead with them to not call me any more.
I just received a phone call from them, but did not answered and my answer machine recorded a lot of background noise. I normally do not pick up on call that I do not know the number. Thanks to the notes on here, I will now try to block this number.
