I received a call from 903-122-9053 in which no message was left on my machine. I tried to call it back and it kept saying I hadn't dialed enough numbers.. Turns out that even though 903 is an area code in Texas, 122 is NOT a prefix for any place in texas.. The call is a failed attempt to dial I think it's New Zealand or Australia. I found this out after doing a little internet researching. If anybody knows who this really is or how the duece they can bounce a fake number around like that, do let me know. o.O
They called today at 9:20am. As above no message on answering machine and a non-existent exchange in Texas area code. These scammers are getting more sophisticated. I got a call yesterday from Cardmembers Services (the lower your credit card interest scammers) from a not-in-service number in the city where I live. Seems hacking the Caller ID system is the latest trick these criminals use to avoid detection.
I just received a call from this number too... same thing, no message left. Not sure if there is any correlation but I have been receiving multiple calls from multiple cell phone numbers that never leave a message.
