This was a local number with a Texas as the name on the caller ID. Since we occasionally get legitimate calls with that name, I answered to see who it was. A young guy with no Texas accent began to run a spiel about taking a survey for some firm I did not recognize. He asked if I was the decision maker on savings and investments and I answered "I guess I am." He then started to ask about savings accounts and investments and I said I did not have either one. He kept on repeating the question and I stopped him saying " Look maybe I did not make myself clear; I don't save or invest." Unphased, he kept asking the same question in slightly different wording. Then I interrupted him and said " I'm through giving personal information." and hung up. I figured he was data mining for some debt collector and felt like a chump for telling him as much as I did. Usually, when someone wants to take a survey I just hang up on them immediately. The location given here was Longview, Tyler but 361 numbers are generally from Denison or Whitewright. At least this one was a live person and not a robot call, so if you do pick up you can verbally abuse this punk all you want.
