I got the same thing... a text saying they wanted to buy my car, but they are on the other side of the U.S. in Texas??!! They wanted pics of my engine too. I wish people would get real jobs instead of sitting around scamming people.
If you got a call from this no. it is a scammer! I posted on Craigs list and Auto trader and they work all leads. Please report this no. to any one who is advertising for you. I wish our government would follow these people up and put them behind bars where they belong.
Just posted my truck on autotrader, get a text message at midnight asking for pics of my engine. I check my autotrader acct and see no activity so I thought it odd that she'd have my #. Decided to google her # and came up with this. Sent her a msg back telling her that I was reporting her, and did to autotrader, and to f*** off. I suggest others do the same.
