I got a call from this number telling me that I was chosen randomly to recieve a $50 gift card to any supermarket (walmart, target, etc) as well as a $500 voucher for free groceries. I asked him how the voucher worked and the man (he sounded Indian) only repeated his early schpeal about my free gifts, telling me I would only have to pay $2.95 for all of it and that it would be mailed to me in the next 3-5 business days.
I have dealt with people like this before and it just ends up bad, so I didn't sign up. I honestly don't know if it is truly a "scam" because he SOUNDED legit, but I didn't want to stick around and find out whether or not it could be trusted. Especially because he, of course, wanted my credit card information.
I tried to ask more probing questions, but he never really answered them.

Yeah, they called me 8:12am. I work overnight, and at 8:12am I only about an hour into my regular sleeping scheulde. Needless to say I was not please, but I didn't get to the phone in time and they left no message.
When I saw the post from JB I called the number back...it rang for almost 10 minutes before telling me I "failed to connect".
That night, the number called back...EXACTLY 12 hours later to the very same minute. I answered, got an automated message about winning $500 in grocery coupons. I pressed "1" to "accept".
Some f**ker with an indian accent says "Hello?" so I greet him with "what the f**k are you doing calling my house at 9 o'clock at night?" to which he says "What?". I repeated the question, and he repeated "What?". So, after saying some horrifically racial things I am not proud of, I told him to lose the number or i'm going to find out where in Henderson, Texas he's calling me from and gut him alive.
Yeah...I'm pretty nasty to telemarketers. Frankly, telemarketers have no business calling before 10am in the morning and after 8pm at night.
