Automated prospecting call supposedly to a business and promising Google ranking on the internet for the business. The recording wanted the business owner, along with confirmation of business owner. After pressing the 1 and then a 2, was placed on hold until the live answer was completed. The gentleman I spoke with replied that he was located in Orange County, California, after I asked where he was calling from and what company he represented.
He wanted to confirm I was the business owner and the primary phone number for the business. When I asked him which company he was calling and what number he was calling, he restated his confirmation request. I then asked my questions again with an admonition that he really did not know who he was calling, at which point he hung up.
Upon calling 904-203-1570, the recording states if you want the number you are calling from to be placed on their Do Not Call list, then please press One now.
This outfit calls from a different phone number every day, FL, IL, CA, NM, GS, OK, NY, TX, with the same exact recording and the same pitch press 1 then press 2. I got 1 guy to tell me they were in Orange CA, I can't call block them all, new numbers come up even in different cities in the same state.
I am getting continuous call from this number. The first time- weeks ago- I told to remove me from their list. They are calling my personal cell phone. I am NOT a business owner. Now after at least 50 phone calls that I havent answered from every state in the union, I finally took the call to tell them to stop calling me. To which the guy on the other end said "YA YA YA YA YA YA YA" making fun of me and then he hung up! They said they were calling about "claiming a business on Google, Yahoo, and Bing." I am listed with Do Not Call but continue to get these calls!! What can we do??
