Same # called 11/25 and they hung up. I answered again on 11/28 because I recognized the # but forgot it was spam. This time an accented male voice told me was calling from Windows customer service department. I hung up.
lol ....just got a call from these yahoos as well. "i am calling from Windows about your computer"... I told them this is a Business Line and asked if they were supposed to be calling a business line...and they hung up. We usually ignore calls that show on Caller ID that we do not recognize ...but I recently started answering "This is Cheryl" and some just hang up immediately...others who still "give it a shot" go on with their fake speel and I tell them "This is a business line- are you supposed to be calling business lines ?" and then they hang up ....or they give me time to let them know that we would appreciate being removed from their call list and they apologize. It is my home line - just don't like all the junk calls we have been receiving !!
So these people call our business probably once a week... after telling them don't call us on several occasions we have started messing with them... We ask them which computer and tell them they need to contact our IT department which shut them up for a couple of weeks. We finally did a lookup and called the number back... They have somehow connected to some poor ladies phone illegally and are using her as part of the scam.... she has a message on her phone that apologizes because they have hacked her phone
