Threatening phone calls, will not listen or answer my questions. They are claiming to be an attorney as Mrs. Abernathy, with Abernathy and Charmichael. Threatening to have me arrested within the hour and charged with felonies. Abernathy will not allow me nor legal assistant Joanne Monotello to ask questions regarding, is this an official business, who are they, and what is their bar number. Abernathy just disconnected calls and refuses to give any information.

My husband is getting the same phone calls and when tried to call back they did the same thing.. When I finally did get Cindy Abernathy on the phone and told her that I would be filing a complaint with the FTC and contacting an attorney for violation of the FDPCA she hung up on me also.

Jessica called and was very nice to me, she said that I owed a company called Cashnet, which is a payday loan company. I thought I had taken care of this debt sometime ago, but I researched her company and they are legit, so I took care of it. I also contacted my lawyer and you can be prosecuted if you don't take care of these loans, so if you have one out there you should get it taken care of because depending on your state laws you can be charged criminally.
