IRS scam!!! Told me that they had processed my tax return and they found several things wrong. I needed to make an immediate deposit by credit or debit card to correct this matter or I would be arrested. My comment... Come and get me. I dare you. Drive all the way from India and get me. Heavy accent. Really... that is the best you can do. People actually fall for this?

A lof of people actually believe that the IRS files lawsuits. It doesn't. Or that the IRS cold calls people; it doesn't. Or that the IRS can arrest people for ordinary tax errors. It can't. Or that the IRS can call on local law enforcement to arrest people. It can't.
Fact is all determinations of tax liability are subject to appeal. IRS does NOT act arbitrarily. You can appeal through the courts or the IRS administrative structure. Any enforcement action only occurs after a long period of negotiation and failure to reach an agreement.
