Had received same voice-mail as above, contacted again today and told that I am being prosecuted for worthless checks and money laundering that will be filed in my state but that I was aware of "what I did" but would not give me specific information. Apparently that information would only be shared "in the court house in person". What a joke. Sad that there are elderly people who may get calls from them and fall for them.
the same number called me said he was with law firm trying to collect i debt i don't go through payday loans he said meet me at the court house where i was living at my prior address
I got the same call today from the number and they said the same thing you all are saying. I told him send the paper work in and my attorney's will be ready to fight. Then he got mad.
This guy called me back after I told the first guy (who called himself "Jeffrey", and the number he called from was 904-404-8830) that I thought the whole thing was BS and hung up on him. Same message..I had a lawsuit pending and he needed information..in fact he tried to claim I had received several e-mails about a lawsuit and 3 civil suits..I checked...no such e-mails, of course..I told *Jeffrey* that I had never heard about someone being informed about a court case through anything less than registered mail..he kept saying he was so suprised I knew nothing about it..I could hear several other voices in the background saying similar things..Arbitration Board was mentioned..
After I hung up on *Jeffery* this other person called from the 8826 number, giving no name, and accused me of being rude to his *associate Jeffrey* and said again he only wanted to *verify my information* (this was a voicemail, I didn't answer) and if I called back and gave them this all would be forgiven, if I didn't call back he *wished me luck with my upcoming court case*. I believe *Jeffrey* and this second caller are either the same person or there are several people involved with this scam. It bothers me that there are people who might fall for this sort of thing because they don't know better...
