There was no caller ID; only a phone number with an area code from Jacksonville, Florida. The caller said: 'Hi, I'm John from some (unidentified) "protection services" company'. Then he quickly proceeded to ask me: 'Can you hear me well?' I immediately hang up and blocked the number. There is an ongoing scam that exploits your positive answer to this question. You WILL get charged for "services" that you did NOT agree to! This shameful and devious scam is based merely on your "YES" response to their seemingly innocent-sounding question. Again, this is an ongoing scam. Do NOT respond "YES". Just hang up, or you WILL be screwed later!
...got a call from this number on my emergency cell...which is on the no call list....did not pick up...no one even has that number except my husband...must be a scammer..
