I just received an email from a Ricky Jones stating he is an Attorney General and a legal lawsuit has been filed againist my name, ssn and address is under the federal investigation. What's funny is if he is an attorney general why does he have a gmail email address??!!
I received the same email and I called it and the guy who answer the phone had a foreign accent trying to talk like he is American and the one I got had a arrest warrant on it and that I had 48 hours to response and that I have over 13,000 in court cost and lawyers fee
Emails are NOT considered official notification of anything (nor are faxes, texts, or phone calls). You are also NOT warned if an arrest warrant is coming so this is a scam to extort money from you.
