We got 2 recorded messages...May 25th and May 26th, 2016......stating we were going to get sued by the IRS and to call the IRS office phone number. I believe they gave me the same number that was on the caller ID and I remembe it began with 904. I knew this threat was not true as we have no problems with the IRS so I hung up before listening to anymore. When I told my husband, he said they had called yesterday with the same message. At first I thought it was one of those scams where you are charged a fortune for calling certain area code. Then I looked up on line where the area code of 904 was and there was a lot of information about continuous scams with them going way back to 2008, just maybe a different number. The recording was a very American sounding woman so it sounded more legitiment than a foreign voice. You can't even tell them to put you on a 'Do not call list'. It probably wouldn't help anyway. Perhaps we will notify our local news station to put out a story on these scammers to warn others.
