Go to you LOCAL WACHOVIA. Don't answer their questions or respond. Just hang us. I told them off twice and hung up on them. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY FURTHER CALLS.
A female recorded voice operator states, "Please hold for an important message." Then music plays, a young male voice that does not sound presentable suddenly answers HELLO? a view times and hangs up.
I had the exact same phone call as "Amy" ... three times today. Then, I immediately received a text message from the same number saying "call me". This is absolutely ridiculous. No way would anyone in their right mind respond to a call such as this. The # is supposedly Wachovia according to reverse phone search?!??! It is incredibly unprofessional... you have to be kidding me. (PS - My credit is perfect so they are certainly not calling me regarding any overdue payments.)
I get an automated message reporting to be Wachovia bank and instructing me to call an 800 number. When I call the 800 number they say they are the Wachovia Retail Credit company and need my account number and social security number. I asked lots of questions and then called Wachovia directly. This is NOT a Wachovia number and is fraud.
This is Wachovia. I just called back. I didn't have to give any information. I was late on a payment on my credit card and they gave me all of the information on it. All I had to give was my name and verify the information they gave me. No social security number or account number was given.
