scammers from Florida. Love how my home state is now spammer central. Some are even in my own area code, no less. How am I supposed to know if they're a job offer or not just going by area code, as caller ID rarely shows a proper personal or business name?
And these idiots weren't paying attention to the fact my answering machine picked up and they were talking in some language I couldn't understand (sounded middle eastern...) and my machine recorded a good minute and a half before i pressed the mailbox button to force it to hang up on them.
You realize that these call do not actually originate from the area code that comes up. These are usually overseas scammers using VoIP and spoofing a US phone number.
It's the free cruise survey scam. Call back gets, "Thanks for calling. The survey you were called for is now finished." There is no survey just some nonsense questions. You'll be offered a free something for completing the survey then asked for your credit card number. It's a SCAM. Block it. Here's a news report on it:
