Calls are from Humana insurance to Humana health insurance customers. Currently they are offering to schedule "in-home" visits from the insurance company's "nurse" to take simple vitals, assess needs and answer questions about your medications and doctor visits. In my case, the caller responded politely when I simply declined the offer and said, "No thank you. Not interested." Same number has previously called to conduct a survey about my general health and my opinions of Humana's services.
Got a call tonight where they wanted to schedule an appointment for August 26th to come to my house for a health visit to see if my health was the status that my doctor said it was. I told them no that my doctor would be the only one taking care of that and they knew that I had Humana. How they are getting this info is scary.
BEWARE- BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING.
Caller is YHA -Your Home Advantage, a Humana subsidiary. They want to send a nurse into my/your home to evaluate your health.
I don't think so! Since it IS a choice I will respectfully decline. I see my doctors when needed, I do not need a stranger coming into my home scrutinizing HOW I live. I find their persistence in trying to get me to agree to a "home health assessment" visit, irritating and obtrusive. In researching I have found that many Medicare Advantage Watchdog Groups have flagged this particular organization (and others of this type) as having a direct link to increased healthcare/Medicare cost increases, whIle having NO true benefit to the consumer. It is just one more way for the insurance industry to use extremely personal information of the consumer, obtained under the guize of "helping" us, when in reality is does anything but. BEWARE BIG BROTHER.
