Had my RV for sale on Craig's list.....Got a text from +1-904-638-2003 on 4/22/2015 wanting to know if the RV was still for sale.....I replied, Yes, it is available......today I get another text saying this unknown person was stationed at the Naval air station in Jacksonville, Fl and was wanting to purchase the RV ($179,000) for his son and wanted to know details about paint, batteries etc....I was immediately suspicious of a possible scam.....I ask the person what his name and rank was and that I had friends stationed there also....He didn't even offer any credible information just wanted to use PayPal and have the transportation company come pick my 40' ft bus RV without even looking at it.....I told him to go scam somebody else and give him a nickname [***]!!...
I have not heard back from him!!!!!....Be aware of these idiots as they play on your stupidly!
I pretty much had the same thing happened to me so he is a scam artist he told me the same story about getting for his son he said ahe is in naval base in Jacksonville and he is a scam artist he was going to do this through PayPal alsohe also want to try to scam me for about ten thousand dollars for my 2006 travel trailer camper
I received text all day long from this same number want to buy my RV for his Son and is same story as these post before me. His MO is the very same. He said he was at the NAS in Jacksonville and could only use PayPal to make the purchase.
Today I received an email saying he talked to his shipper about the pickup of the unit, and if he could add the 1650.00 to PayPal and me pay the shipper for him.
At this point I sent email back to him telling him we would have to do the deal face to face is the only way I can do it. Awaiting his response!
