They call me every day multiple times a day. It does not show the caller, just "Jacksonville, FL" but I know it is SPS Select Portfolio Servicing. They not only call every day but send me 2-4 pieces of mail every day!
First phone call was rec'd on 08/25/08 at 2:59pm PT - The caller ID showed "SPS". When I answered the phone call it was a recorded message asking that I stay on the line for an important message. After a few seconds, the line disconnected. The second call rec'd was on the same day at 4:01pm PT. This time, the call ID showed "Private Number"; however, I know it was the same number since the exact same message was heard - a woman's recorded voice asking that I stay on the line for an important message and like the first call - the line disconnected.
If numbers come up on your cell - you can add them to the reject list. It won't ring. SPS - yes, they are own for having a recording saying "please hold on for an important message." Very professional(ha!)
