I have received several calls from this #. Just called them back...it is the Vietnam Veterans of America. I'm assuming they are calling for different types of donations, such as old clothing, bedding, household goods, etc....pretty much anything you would donate to Goodwill to get rid of. It's a harmless call, but if you want for them to cease calling you in the future, just answer the phone & let them know.
Pretty sure they will put you on their Do Not Call list, if you wish. However, if you do decide to donate something, they will leave you a Tax Deduction Receipt when they pick up your stuff. All you have to do is leave the stuff in a bag by your door. I've done it twice...saved me a trip from hauling a bunch of things I no longer needed, & it's all tax deductible.
