Called at 8:30 PM. A recording saying I was going to get a 75% discount on a vacation in Orlando, because I had stayed at a resort. If I said yes I was going to be connected to an operator to answer a few questions. I said no and was disconnected. Scam !!!!!
Criminals do not follow the law. Unwanted calls continue to be the #1 consumer complaint in our state, more than the next 9 complaint areas combined, and the government does nothing about them. Neither will the phone companies, because these calls are a good source of revenue for them.

Please keep up with the news, rather than make specious statements.
The FTC and top communications companies are meeting, to determine what they can do to stop robocalls and other illegal calls. Here is a link to a frequently updated page, showing the history and progress of their initiatives, as well as recent Congressional bills. Industry implementations are added after they are announced.

(I strongly suggest you read the history and progress of
H.R.2669 - Anti-Spoofing Act of 2015
amd
S.2558 - Spoofing Prevention Act of 2016
to learn how [slowly] bills progress through our Congressional system.)

I don't answer numbers I dont recognize. I then look them up online and if they are scammers or others offering vacation discounts, etc. I just block the number so they can't keep calling. They get new numbers eventually, but this stops the same number from being able to call several times.
