This is an attorney's office based in Chicago. They called my in-law's house and my dad's house looking for me, yet I've never lived at either address! There is definitely something shady about that. I tried calling the number back, but got an automated operator that wouldn't connect me to anybody. Everytime I tried speaking to a PERSON, the call would get cut off (despite the fact that I was calling from a land line). The message they left at both my dad and in-law's houses said something about having 24-48 hours to respond or they would issue a restraining order against me. When I looked around on the Internet for the phone number, the majority of the results I got said that it had something to do with Citigroup. I've never had any business with Citigroup, so I don't know what that means...
These hotshots are really a piece of work! Beware! They used a former address, accessed my bank info. (that I stupidly provided for them). Luckily, I canceled the checks.... They are a fraud! I tried to call them back - no one answers and the other number I called is unavailable. They identified themselves as National Legal Services. I should have known something was wrong when the first guy yelled at me when I initially refused to provide them with my bank info. My residential telephone number is unlisted--clue#2. How did they get my unlisted phone number and former address? Beware!
they pulled the same with my wife. called MY father and mother where i have never lived..and said a subponea and/or restraining order or something.... and i call back the # and it just rings .....then i call another time and it takes me to some your party is not available with music playing. so anyway...did you ever get your restraining order?
