Their seafood website WAS real, and has disappeared. No posts on Facebook since 2014, so they are gone, and someone inherited their number. BLOCK, unless you have some good reason for wanting a call from this number.
From the Huffington Post re VoIP: "The increasing popularity of voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) phone services like Skype and Vonage also has increased caller ID spoofing activity. These services use computer addresses instead of actual phone numbers to connect via the Internet, so scammers can choose any available area code and phone number, making it even harder to determine who’s who on your phone."
A guy calling himself Eric Gordon, saying he's from the Florida Police and Troopers Association is calling repeatedly asking for money. If you call the number all you get is a pre-recorded message pitching the donation same.
called twice so far today, once at 1140 and once at 1340, but the day's yet young. I don't answer, and they don't leave a message. id is meaningless. PS: it's not a political call, but the pull-down menu is stuck. it's just another phone thief, trying to steal from us all
Actually this is a scam charity. I got rid of him for about a year after I asked him for the website address of this bogus charity so I could check their financial records. I also commented that if he was genuinely fund raising for a legitimate charity, the name of the charity would be on my caller id. He's back at it again. Two calls at dinner time two days in a row = blocked but have no fear, he'll be spoofing a new number soon. 800 notes really needs to add Scam to their drop-down menu because it's not a charitable organization and there's no other option that would fit.
