Just got a call. Picked up and a guy said that he was calling from Advance America to confirm my application for $1,000 loan ("do you want to apply for $10,000?"). I told him that he was full of crap because I did NOT apply for a loan from AA and, if he actually DID work for AA, then I'd like him to email me the information that he had so that I could turn it in to the authorities because someone must have stolen my identity.
"So you would like me to mail you?"
"No, I want you to email me the information you have. You all have my email address on file, you can cross-reference with my phone number to get it."
"Alright, alright, alright. Can you help me out and give me your email address?"
"No. You can look it up. I'm not giving out any information." "Okay."
