Spoke with an "Ashley." She assured me she wasn't calling to collect any money, then went on to list a bunch of magazines that I should be expecting in the mail. Says by "accident" the magazines were never mailed, so she just needed to verify my info to get them sent out. I told her to take my info off their soliciting list. It's just a way for them to generate [***] magazine sales.
They are a scam, or at least should not be calling, as my name is on the government do not call list.But, I am pretty sure they are a scam. Do not deal with them. Do not trust them. The whole story was a lie! When I answered the call, a woman (who knew my name) said her name was "Rachel" and she was calling from "Publishing". She said I ordered magazines and that they were not received -- some apology and long spiel that was all a big lie. I never ordered any magazines. She said she has three of them all set to be sent to me and wanted to verify my information. Hang up and report these people.
