Getting calls a number of times a week from Global Energy Org. It's a recording, and if you press one and wait, the person on the other end is braindead, just reads the script and doesn't respond to questions.
They claim to be a "non profit"
The number that comes up on Caller ID is 561-713-9722
When searched it comes up as a West Palm Beach fl.
They wanted to set up an appointment to come make an energy audit. When I told the woman on the line not to call me again, she said it's all free because I had been referred by family or friend and that I couldn't refuse.
They used to call me at least once a day for weeks from 713 231 7060 or 832 228 7369 (Houston area phone numbers) and left these long voice messages, and then the calls stopped. And I thought that was the end, But yesterday they called again and I made the mistake of answering the call. They seemed to be even more insistent.
Just got a call on my cell phone and I ran a google search on the number and it brought me here. I see that the person above me just posted about this number calling their cell phone 20 minutes ago so that answers my question.
This same thing happened to me, same number and they were VERY persistent trying to sell me all kind of magazine subscriptions and trying to give me a "free" diamond watch. When I said I wasn't interested the guy said "So what you can't afford the (whatever amount) a month?" and got snippy. That changed the whole tone of the phone call pretty quick. If anyone else ever gets calls from this number, don't by any means be polite or they will try to walk all over you.
