Caller ID says "Jacksonville, FL" and has been calling for weeks now. I've blocked this number with my software so they must be using other spoofed phone numbers to get through. I was curious today for a change, so answered the call and "told this is Darlene from something like Breast Cancer Research". The odd thing was it sounded like a canned speech previously recorded. I interrupted "Darlene's" spiel by saying hello, is this a real person - how can I get off your call list? Her response was she is a real person talking through a computer, but I'm not buying that one. It could be their software is programmed to answer the callee's questions appropriately, and you are not really talking to a live person. If you see a caller from Jacksonville, FL, don't bother to answer and try blocking whatever number they are calling from.
Called this morning at about 9:15. Asked for Eugene. Told them they had the wrong number. They proceeded than to ask "maybe you could help me with something; at which time I replied, "I don't think so," and hung up. Weird.
