Hey, this number is quoted on the "Triple Bingo" card scam. You get a free bingo card, and guess what! You ALWAYS win! All you have to do is phone this number and "agree to a homecare product presentation" and you get a "prize".
99.7% chance you get a "7-stage Dechlorinating Deluxe Shower Head" which it turns out does not exist, not as depicted. The suggested price is $119, when in reality there are a lot of "dechlorinating" shower heads for half that cost. And they would require replacement filters, if they are really filtering chlorine. Good luck with getting those filters from a vacuum cleaner huckster.
...Vacuum Cleaners??? yes, that is the "homecare" product pushed by the bingo card scammers, namely "Respiraide". Google it, and you will see. Pathetic loser scammers, taking advantage of the poor and ignorant. Shame!! Stop these guys from littering our mailboxes! DO NOT PHONE THIS NUMBER!
I live in Ontario and I've also received the winning "Triple Bingo" card. The winner was suggested to call this number to claim "over $3 million in cash, cars, home electronics and prizes". I looked for the company's name on the back of the card under contest rules and found "Simple, Tristar or Respiraide" mentioned. I got suspicious, so I googled these "companies".
I'm really glad I found the information on this site to confirm my suspicion. The strategy here appears that instead they of calling you, they want to lure you to call them.
This has to be reported and stopped before more people fall for the scam. Does anyone know what agencies should it be reported to? I know they have not been accredited by the BBB. Should it be CBC market place? I suggest the more people participate in getting rid of these scamming companies, the better off we all are.
They are also working the east end of Toronto, Kingston Road and Brimley Avenue. Same Bingo cards.
Try contacting Canada Post - They are the ones one distributing the cards!
I too have received a Triple Bingo card today in the mail. I got an "X" on my middle BINGO card.
After my father kept pushing me to verify online that the phone number is legitimate first of all, i decided I'd do so first before calling, and I find this page.
Thanks for the information everyone. I'll just throw out my card. It's a wonder why they're legally allowed to circulate them. Probably because nobody checks or calls the authorities.
Received the Triple Bingo card in the mail. Won with an "X" in the centre bingo box. Insructions to call (905) 233-2095 to win anything from a dechlorinating shower head all the way up to a car. THE CATCH: You have to submit to an in home demonstration of whatever product the company is flogging (as per the rules). NO THANKS!
