I got this call as well. I don't owe any money to any gym aside from what I do know I owe. And this company and individual named Stephen Walters is a joke. If you're not careful Stephen Walters you're going to end up in handcuffs for harassment and fraud. And by the way, what kind of low life works in a collection company in the first place. You would have to be a scum sucking bottom feeding person to call people up and bug them when they're facing issues. Personally I'd rather work at McDonald's than take that job. Remember karma is a [***], eventually you get what's coming to you in the end. And further more all lawyers are equally a lower form of life including divorce lawyers and cheaters. Lawyers and wannabe lawyers make me vomit. Be careful Stephen Walters I'm good with laws too, you're barking up the wrong legal tree.
Caller said she worked for stephen walters law office, and claimed I owed $1400 for a gym membership I signed for over two years ago. I signed for a tour of a gym and was supposed to get a 30 day free membership out of it and after the 30 days pay about 40 bucks a month. I never activated the 30 day free membership because I left the town, but then about 2 weeks later I noticed over 200 bucks were taken out of my bank account. I realize I was dumb to give my account info but this is Canada, I didn't know it was legal for a company to just take whatever they want. Apparently the gym took money for personal 1 on 1 training...and yet I still never set foot in the gym at all!! The bank said Premiere Fitness is notorious for stealing money from peoples bank accounts, even when they try to quit...so the only option is to close your account and open a new one. I did, and now over two years have passed and some lady who says she works for a law firm says I owe Premiere Fitness $1400 dollars or it's going against my credit rating. Really? I looked up that law office on Google and nothing came up. I called back and asked for her address and she wouldn't give it to me. I then googled the number...and this website popped up. Go figure. Talk about a scam...but what can I do to get this harassment to stop???
Getting a call from the same "law firm" saying I owe money for a premier gym membership some 4-5 years ago. Cannot find any information about this law firm as well.
I'm really contemplating having my lawyer look into this. Talk about a lot of [***].
Same lady the rest of you talked to: Claude Delrean.
AGAIN, I get harrased from this Stevens Law office for no apparent reason. I have yet to speak to anyone from this number, I only get these messages on my phone to call ASAP, URGENT...These people have been leaving messages to call back for over 6 months. How do I get rid of them? Please advise. Thanks in advance!
I also received a call saying they are a law firm when indeed the appear to be a collection agency!!!!! I work with law firms every day and none of them are collection agencies!! I really havent grasped the concept of "collection lawyers" !!!!!
This woman (Claude Nourian) keeps calling and saying that I have an outstanding debt to MDG computers. She calls me at work, at home, even though I've told her not to call me at work, she continues to call. The latest and greatest is she's threatening me with formal charges of fraud...
I don't know how to make this woman go away. I've written her two letters now but I'm considering consulting my own laywer.
